The preparation ecosystem for JEE and NEET is massive. The problem is no longer a lack of resources, but rather "resource paralysis"—having so many books and video lectures that you never actually finish any of them.

Here is a heavily curated list of the absolute best resources for JEE and NEET, focusing on quality over quantity.

Physics: Concepts Over Formulas

Physics punishes rote memorization. If you don't understand the underlying mechanics, you cannot solve advanced problems.

Core Textbooks

  • Concepts of Physics by H.C. Verma: The absolute baseline. You must read the theory and solve the objective questions. The subjective exercises are excellent for building conceptual clarity.
  • Physics Galaxy by Ashish Arora: Highly recommended for JEE Advanced. The theory is structured brilliantly, and the objective questions perfectly mirror the current exam difficulty.

Online Resources

  • Physics Galaxy (YouTube): The concept videos and advanced illustration series are unparalleled for free video content.
  • Eduniti (YouTube): The best channel for rapid revision and PYQ (Previous Year Question) solving techniques for JEE Main.

Chemistry: The Three-Headed Beast

Chemistry must be treated as three distinct subjects.

Physical Chemistry

  • N Awasthi: The standard for physical chemistry problem-solving.
  • Focus heavily on mole concept, thermodynamics, and equilibrium.

Organic Chemistry

  • M.S. Chouhan: Essential for JEE.
  • Organic Chemistry by Morrison & Boyd: Only for deep reference, do not attempt to read it cover to cover.
  • Strategy: Focus on reaction mechanisms (SN1, SN2, E1, E2) rather than memorizing individual reactions.

Inorganic Chemistry

  • NCERT: This is your Bible. For NEET and JEE Main, 95% of inorganic questions are directly derived from NCERT lines. Read it line by line, multiple times.
  • J.D. Lee (Adapted Version): Only use this for reference if a concept in NCERT is unclear.

Biology (NEET Specific)

  • NCERT (Class 11 & 12): There is no substitute. Every diagram, every summary, and every caption must be memorized.
  • MTG Objective NCERT at your Fingertips: The best book for practicing MCQs that strictly adhere to the NCERT syllabus.

Mathematics (JEE Specific)

  • Cengage Mathematics Series (G. Tewani): Currently the most comprehensive series for JEE Advanced. The illustrations are excellent.
  • Previous Year Questions (PYQs): The math section in JEE Main has become notoriously lengthy and difficult. Practicing 2019-2023 PYQs is non-negotiable.

The Most Important Resource: Mock Tests

Do not wait until you finish the syllabus to start giving mock tests.

Avoid irrelevant difficulty

Many coaching institutes set excessively difficult mock tests that do not reflect the actual exam pattern. Ensure your mock tests are highly relevant. Platforms like Mathongo (for JEE) are widely recognized for maintaining exact exam relevancy.

Stick to one primary resource per subject. Complete it, revise it, and only then look for supplementary material.
